They fear being perceived as a threat. They fear upsetting her. They fear losing the relationship. They fear getting it wrong.

This fear is in response to criticism, contempt, and shaming of men which has become popular in recent years in the collective.

​This fear gets in the way of men coming across clear and confident about what they have to offer a woman. This fear sends a subtle signal to the woman that he may not be trustworthy, because if she cannot see a threat, the one in fear is the threat.
